Salvage
A unique combination of expertise, professionalism and empathy, ensuring a seamless and effortless experience, for both you and your policyholders.

Precious Metals
When a policyholder claims for damage to an item(s) of jewellery, via perils such as fire or accidental damage. if this is Beyond Economical Repair (BER) there will always be a salvage value for Gold, Silver & Platinum items, such as bracelets, chains, rings and integral bracelet watches in 9ct or 18ct gold.
JCS are happy to offer insurers competitive prices for any precious metal salvage items.
Damaged & Chipped Diamonds
A common occurrence with jewellery claims is when a policyholder claims for a diamond ring which has received an accidental knock, resulting in the diamond being chipped. This will reduce the value of the diamond ring if left in this condition. JCS would quote insurers for a replacement diamond contained in the original ring, matching the shape, carat weight, colour & clarity. Most diamonds over 0.50 carats in weight are generally issued with an Independent Diamond Grading Certificate e.g GIA, HRD or IGI. There are many other diamond certificates available across the world but JCS prefer to use the above three.
With insurers approval, JCS will then have the damaged diamond removed from its setting, and re-polished by our expert diamond polishers in London, and once returned to us, JCS can only then offer a salvage value to insurers to off-set the cost of the new replacement diamond, therefore reducing insurers liability.
