Jewellery and Watch Repair Service
JCS will undertake all kinds of diamond jewellery repairs and watch repairs, on behalf of your Insurance Company.
After close inspection of the damaged item, JCS will submit our report to your Insurer outlining the necessary works to be carried out to restore the item to its original condition.
JCS under take all diamond jewellery repairs eg. Rings, Earrings, Pendants and Bracelets.
The most common repair JCS are asked to undertake is when a diamond or coloured stone has fallen out of its setting as a result of receiving an accidental knock. JCS regard this as a stone out claim, as the whole item has not been lost.
JCS will contact the insured and advise a pre-paid Special Delivery envelope shall be sent out to them. Once JCS receive the item back, our admin dept inform the insured the parcel has arrived safely and a digital photo of the damaged item in it’s original condition is then stored on our database.
Upon close inspection of the item, JCS will match the size, colour and clarity of the missing diamond(s) to those already contained in the ring. Our report will then follow shortly to your Insurance Company detailing all the necessary repair works to be carried out, and to restore the item to its original beauty.
Jewellery items that have not received regular checks by an experienced jeweller or if they show signs of not being looked after properly, can be subject to ‘Wear & Tear’ this may result in the claim being Repudiated depending on your policy wording?

If your claiming for accidental damage to your watch, JCS can assist you by sending you out a pre-paid Special Delivery envelope. All you have to do is return the watch secured safely inside the envelope to JCS, where upon receipt the watch will be digitally photographed and stored on our database.
The damaged watch is then assessed by our specialists, and a detailed report will be forwarded to your Insurance Company outlining any new parts and work required to restore the watch to its original condition.
With your Insurers approval the damaged watch will then be fully repaired. This can take anywhere from 4 - 8 weeks depending on how much work needs to be carried out.
The watch is then returned to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
