JCS have been appointed by your Insurer or Loss Adjuster to ascertain the current Retail Prices of your stolen or lost jewellery.
Once JCS receive all the documentation connected with your claim, we then research the items stolen and submit our report to your insurer. Most claims are given the go ahead within 2 weeks of our report being issued.
Documentation is of paramount importance to JCS when appraising the value of your jewellery claim. Pre-Loss Valuations or Proof of Purchase (PoP) are the best forms of documentation to have, but Post-Loss Valuations or sometimes Photographs can assist us, if they are clear?

JCS will utilise our vast knowledge and experience within the jewellery trade assisted by jewellery catalogues or our complex library of current and historic gold & diamond prices to research most items that are detailed on your claim inventory.

Once your claim has been settled by Insurers, photos to be returned.

JCS will advise if there is an excess to be collected by us. If applicable, this is a requirement stipulated by your insurer, as opposed to JCS, and MUST be paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of your policy.

JCS offer a unique service where a professional Jeweller can visit you in the comfort of your own home or workplace (private room required), or you may opt to visit JCS in their Private Hatton Garden Showroom based in London. JCS can also supply you with voucher cards for over 1000 High Street Stores across the UK, inc Goldsmiths, Mappin & Webb, Watches of Switzerland, Ernest Jones, H Samuel.

With a valid reason of dissatisfaction, JCS will consider the item(s) being returned, and will endeavour to offer you an alternative option.

JCS supply an extensive range of products, standard items are normally supplied to the policy holder within 3-4 weeks of meeting JCS, however, intricate handmade bespoke items can take a little longer to supply but are generally ready within 5 weeks.

Any single item of jewellery supplied by JCS with a value of £5000.00 or more will be valued by an Independent NAG (National Association of Goldsmiths) Valuer, who will forward your detailed valuation and jewellery to you personally by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Most of our jewellery is sent to you by Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery, but if your prefer to collect it in person this can be arranged via our Hatton Garden Showroom.

Yes, all parcels sent by JCS are well secured and fully insured by the Royal Mail and our own private insurance up to £20,000 per parcel.

Once JCS have received authorisation from your insurer most repairs are normally ready to be returned to you within 3-4 weeks.

JCS guarantee all our repairs for 12 months.

Yes, JCS will send your damaged watch to the appropriate Manufacturer via one of our High Street Retailers that has the agency for the watch in question.

Yes, JCS have various suppliers to cater for diamonds set in older jewellery pre 1950.

JCS will use all documents submitted with the claim to assess these crucial facts, if no documentation is submitted for your diamond set jewellery we shall assess the weight by you filling in and returning our gem stencil, and price the colour and clarity of the diamonds as commercial quality.

Yes, JCS can have any Family Crest engraved by Hand on rings in 9ct & 18ct gold, providing the original seal is supplied or a detailed photograph. JCS will return the completed ring with your original wax seal and any additional copies made by the engraver.
